I am using Scarpa F1′s and burton race plate bindings (minus the base plate…mounted directly to the voile slider plate) now…was using the voile mountain plate for a little while and also the burton race plate with base plate before doing the work to customize as mentioned above without base.
I am back on hard boots after 7 years off of them and am really liking them. They are a much better and more practical boot for the mountains. I had to adjust my stance back to steeper angles from the more standard soft boot 15ish front and minus 5 back type surfy stance. I am still adjusting to it but stoked and my old style of hard boot riding is coming back as I go with the steeper angles on the bindings.
