Stephen Koch

This is a short video of me from Mountain Athlete, the gym where I train, in Jackson, WY. I was able to figure 4 many more times than just a couple weeks ago, so I know I am getting stronger from the training. My goal for all this training was to make the finals at the Ouray Ice Festival Competition after failing to make the cut last year. I find out that there is no preliminary round and that I am in the “finals.” Well, my new goal is to be safe, have fun and climb well. I am also going to be teaching some ice climbing and mixed climbing clinics and doing microphone demos – climbing an ice or mixed line while “miked” up. I enjoy the clinics because folks are so stoked to be learning from me and I love sharing my knowledge of this crazy sport!
